Distributed Caching Platform (DCP)
Distributed caching platform (DCP) middleware technology enables users to reduce the operating costs, and to boost scalability and performance of data-intensive applications by securely keeping business-critical data in the memory of redundant servers, rather than on disk. Distributed Caching is usually used to support mainframe and database offload, but organizations are increasingly adopting DCP to embed in application infrastructure middleware and packaged-application products for both data sharing and distributed computing. In this meeting we’ll discuss the technology, vendors offerings, most common use case and best practices.
